Loose lay LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is a 100% waterproof, heavy-duty flooring that installs without glue or clicks, relying on a high-friction backing for stability.

Ideal for quick renovations and DIY projects, it is easy to replace, forgiving on subfloors, and provides excellent sound absorption. It is often used for both residential and commercial spaces.

Key Characteristics of Loose Lay LVT:

● Installation: Simply placed on the subfloor, with perimeter adhesive recommended for larger areas or high-traffic zones.

● Benefits: Quick installation, DIY-friendly, 100% waterproof, and acoustically efficient

● Replacement: Individual planks can be easily removed and replaced if damaged, without needing to lift the whole floor.

● Subfloor Requirement: While forgiving, it still requires a relatively flat, clean, and dry subfloor.

● Thickness: Generally thicker than standard glue-down LVT, with options typically around 4.0 mm to 5 mm.

2. Rigid Core Layer (Key):

Typically uses SPC CORE, making it sufficiently heavy (usually thicker than click-lock flooring),

serving as the source of gravity, while ensuring dimensional stability and compressive strength.

3. High-friction, Sound-dampening Backing Layer (Core Technology): This is the core of the principle. This layer must possess an extremely high coefficient of static friction to ensure the flooring firmly "grips" the ground after installation.
