UV wall panels are installed similarly to traditional panels, but their high-gloss surface and hardness require higher precision during installation.
The main installation methods are:
Adhesive bonding (most common): Using special environmentally friendly structural adhesives (such as silicone adhesive, nail-free adhesive) to directly bond the panels to a flat, solid substrate. Even application of the adhesive is crucial, and temporary bracing with battens is recommended.
Framing and nailing method: Install wooden or light steel framing on the wall, then fix the UV wall panels to the frame using nails or clips. This method allows for leveling and is suitable for uneven walls.
Dry-hanging/clip method (advanced method): Pre-install clips on the back of the panels, then suspend them from a framing system on the wall, achieving a glue-free, nail-free, and invisible installation. This method is removable and requires the highest precision.
Key points: Regardless of the method, the substrate must be perfectly flat, the high-gloss surface must be carefully protected during installation to avoid scratches, and the joint treatment must be meticulous.
