Abstract: This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of stone plastic composite flooring (SPC). This document is applicable to hard stone plastic composite flooring made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin and inorganic mineral fillers as the main raw materials, through processes such as high-temperature extrusion, calendering, bonding, coating, and locking molding. It is widely used in indoor residential, commercial, and industrial flooring installation scenarios and is the only national authoritative standard for SPC flooring production, testing, and acceptance in China at present.

1 Scope

This standard applies to stone plastic composite flooring made from high-molecular resins and inorganic mineral powders as the main raw materials, with the addition of processing aids, through melt extrusion molding, surface decoration and wear-resistant layer compounding, and mechanical milling groove locking processing.

This standard does not apply to wood plastic composite flooring (WPC), soft PVC elastic flooring, rubber flooring and other flooring materials for floor installation.

2 Terms and Definitions

2.1 Stone Plastic Composite Flooring (SPC)

A rigid stone plastic composite flooring material with a high content of inorganic mineral fillers filling the polyvinyl chloride substrate as the main body, with a surface composite wear-resistant layer and decorative layer, and an optional balance layer at the bottom, featuring high hardness, high dimensional stability, and waterproof and moisture-proof properties.

2.2 Locking-type Stone Plastic Flooring

Stone plastic composite flooring with a locking structure achieved through mechanical dovetail and lock fitting for non-glue suspended installation, being the mainstream product form in the current market.

3 Product Classification

It is classified by structure as homogeneous stone plastic flooring and composite stone plastic flooring; by installation method as flat joint type and locking type; and by usage scenarios as household grade and commercial grade.

4 Technical Requirements

4.1 Appearance Quality

The surface should have no cracks, bubbles, scratches, color differences, or defects, with uniform texture, and the locking should be complete without broken edges.

4.2 Dimensional Deviation

The length, width, and thickness deviations should comply with the standard-defined range, and the edge straightness and board surface flatness should meet the standards.

4.3 Physical and Mechanical Properties

It includes core indicators such as thermal dimensional change rate, water absorption thickness expansion rate, wear resistance, impact resistance, static load performance, and locking tensile strength. The thermal dimensional change rate should be ≤ 0.08%, and it has excellent cold and hot cycle stability.

4.4 Environmental Performance

The formaldehyde emission and volatile organic compound emission should comply with the national safety limits for indoor decoration materials, enabling low-醛, near-zero-醛 environmental protection grades.

5 Test Methods

The standard specifies the national standard test methods corresponding to each performance, including constant temperature and humidity dimensional stability testing, wear test machine testing, locking mechanical tensile testing, and environmental chamber formaldehyde emission detection, among other standard test procedures.

6 Inspection Rules

It is divided into factory inspection and type inspection, clearly defining the sampling plan, judgment rules, and re-inspection requirements to ensure product quality consistency.

7 Marking, Packaging, Transportation, and Storage

It standardizes product marking, packaging protection, transportation moisture-proof requirements, and storage stacking requirements to avoid deformation during transportation and damage from moisture.
